I was lucky enough to visit Noosa, Queensland, Australia and soak up some much needed Vitamin D. In this post I break down the necessities for travelling to the Sunshine Coast with just a carry on and the "Must Have" items to make any vacation successfully stylish.
The first part of any travel for me is dressing well for the plane. I mean if the plane is going to crash, I do not wish to spend the after life in tracksuit pants!
Straight from the airport to the beautiful Main Beach at Noosa. It really does remind you that the best things in life are free or $4 for an ice cone. I love to wear tropical fresh prints when at the beach and this shirt and short combo could be easily mixed with other pieces. Perfect when flying with just carry on luggage.
A mandatory item I always travel with is a linen shirt. It is perfect for sunset strolls, early morning walks. It dries quickly if you want to take a dip or get wet, it does not cling to you and is perfect for brunches on Hastings Street.
As you can see I have worn my trusty linen Roberto Cavalli shirt again, this time paired with some shorts from Boohoo.com. What everyone needs when spending hours in the sun is a good hat to shield the face from the elements. This hat was a bargain from Kmart for $8!!!
Trusty hat, trusty loafers and trusty striped shirt. All of these pieces can easily be worn with pieces I have previously worn. Save time on packing and pair neutral colours and prints with each other. 1 item equals at least 4 different outfits.
Dinner requires a more formal look. Ultimate preppy chic is achieved with a sweater draped across your shoulders. White shorts are a wardrobe staple whilst on a sunny vacation and for good reason. Lightweight loafers are perfect for carry on, as they are light weight! More pairs!
With any beach or poolside resort, swimwear is a must. It rolls up nicely and takes up minimal room in a carry on. I like to pack contrasting bold swimwear a long with simple pairs to pair with other pieces to create great beach and poolside looks.
Trunks are another alternatively if you are too shy to wear the small budgie smugglers. These bright trunks are a favourite of mine.
